Hi, I’m Brinley.
Therapist has always been a role that I assumed well before I earned my degree. As far back as I can remember, I have always preferred to be the listener and observer, than I have the speaker. In thinking about a career for myself, therapist seemed like the best fit for this innate desire to listen and problem solve.
Throughout my career I have developed an understanding of the therapeutic value. I believe that everyone can benefit from support and help throughout the various stages of life. Whether due to work or family stress, navigating friendships and romance, and adjustments to a myriad of life changes, having a place to unload and explore one’s emotions can be so profound to the human experience.
I will work with you to navigate through these obstacles and to help you see to the other side. I will encourage you, challenge you, and gently push you out of your comfort zone. We will work together to make the time productive and maybe even a little fun!
Thank you for taking the time to read through this. I look forward to working with you and feel privileged to be alongside you on your unique journey.

Previous Work Experience
I have worked in both the non-profit and private practice sectors of social work throughout my career thus far. In my non-profit work, I had the opportunity to work alongside individuals adjusting to life with visual impairments, and helped them to navigate the emotional stressors of their disability.
Modalities of Therapy
I do not have a one-size fits all approach. I am a person-centered and strengths based clinician and I believe in collaborating with my clients to fully meet each individual’s needs. I use components of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, and problem solving. We will work together to enhance communication styles and time management.
